Rainbow Hand Embroidery Kit - a DIY kit for contemporary and modern embroidery.
This kit was created in response to the recent COVID-19 crisis - £10 from each sale will be donated to Steps to Hope (more info below).
These kits are great for beginners and pros alike - each one is designed to include ten types of embroidery stitch, and the guide included gives comprehensive instructions for each one. That means they're perfect for people who want to learn the techniques of embroidery, or as a gift for a crafty friend!
The kit includes: * 8 inch 'working' hoop * 8 inch display hoop * navy blue fabric * backing felt * DMC embroidery threads * needle * dressmakers' carbon paper (for transferring the pattern) * rainbow pattern & stencil * comprehensive instructions for each stage of the project * 4-page stitch guide, giving instructions and tips on all the stitches this project needs
The wooden display hoop is ready to hang once the project is finished (note: pictures of kit contents are currently being updated to include both hoops).
All you need to get started are a pair of scissors and a pen!
Steps to Hope is a registered charity which supports the homeless and those suffering from addiction in Edinburgh. They provide an on-street presence to hand out the basic necessities to those in need, signpost people to relevant mutual aid groups and will pay for temporary shelter for those willing to make a change in their lives by taking a step towards recovery. The charity’s work is more important than ever during this unprecedented crisis and they desperately need support and funding from the public in order to continue to help some of the most vulnerable in our society.
